Zagi arrived at our shelter in January of 2025 from Knin. He's the biggest dog at the shelter, strong and imposingly handsome, weighing in at about 40 kilos. Despite his size, Zagi is a playful, sweet and kind dog, with a warm character that immediately wins over. He especially gets along well with female dogs, and he has a good relationship with other dogs.

Zagi has tested positive for leishmaniasis, a disease caused by mosquitoes. It is not a judgment, but a condition that is successfully controlled with proper therapy and care. Regular veterinary checkups and therapy are needed so that Zagi can enjoy a healthy, high-quality life. He's in a shelter under constant veterinary supervision and is in good condition.

Because of his size and strength, Zagi is looking for a handler with experience working with large dogs. He'd be happiest in a house with a backyard, where he'd have plenty of room to move around and explore. In addition to physical activity, he also needs love and attention, for this big boy is a truly kind and gentle soul at heart.

A veterinary plan was developed for Zagi at the NO KILL shelter Animalis Centrum, he received all the usual treatments and vaccinations and was castrated. He's tested positive for leishmaniasis, for which he's under constant veterinary supervision and receiving appropriate therapy. As with all other animals under our care, a owner's book/passport has been produced and a microchip has been applied.

The animals in our care are looking for a home in Croatia, but also internationally. It's important to us that they find a safe and warm home regardless of geographical location. ❤️
