Marta

Marta arrived at the shelter in January 2026 from Dugopolje. She wandered around the industrial zone for days before finally coming into our care. She was microchipped abroad, and thanks to our colleagues from Serbia, we learned that she was born in 2015 and that she is a Bosnian wirehaired hound – Barak.

We don't know how she ended up here or what she's been through, but we do know that she deserves help. Marta has numerous health problems and a road to recovery lies ahead of her that requires time, care, and veterinary care. Despite everything, she is extremely cuddly, sweet, and kind. She shows tenderness and trust towards people, and makes it clear how much warmth and closeness mean to her. You can see the calmness and gratitude in her eyes, despite everything she's been through.

We are looking for a temporary and/or permanent home for Marta – a peaceful, stable and warm environment where she can safely go through her recovery. Also, any donation to cover her veterinary costs means a lot to us and helps her get the treatment and care she needs.

Marta is in the NO KILL Animalis Centrum shelter and is under constant veterinary supervision. All further procedures and therapies are carried out in accordance with her health condition, and we will do everything to ensure that she receives the best possible care.

The animals under our care are adopted in Croatia and internationally - the most important thing for us is that they find a safe, warm and stable home.❤️

If you are interested in providing a home for Marta or would like to help her with a donation, please contact us.
REMARK: NOTE: Filling out the questionnaire does not constitute a reservation for the animal.
