Frida is a beautiful dog in the type of Croatian shepherd, intelligent, devoted and charismatic. She arrived at our shelter from Gospić in October 2024, and today she rightfully enjoys the Dalmatian sun, the scents of nature and daily walks by the sea or through the forest.

She has a distinct personality and highly developed emotional and social intelligence. On walks, it almost instinctively follows the group and acts as a silent watchdog, not intrusive, but present and alert, with a sense of space and people. She is not dominant or aggressive, but she is protective of those she accepts as her own.

She gets along well with other dogs, plays with them, and when it comes to unfamiliar dogs, she can be cautious but never confrontational. She gives space, she observes, and with proper introduction, she quickly makes new canine friends. He's a very easy dog to work with, all he needs is clarity, a steady hand, and an honest relationship.

Frida loves activity, swimming and exploring, but what she values most is being close to people. She would be ideal in a home where routine, nature and connection are nurtured. She can be a great companion for an individual, but she's also a perfect addition to a family that enjoys outings and walks together.

Despite her specialness, Frida is still waiting. And she's the dog that shouldn't, because she gives so much and asks so little in return.

Frida has received the usual vaccines and microchipping at the NO KILL Animal Shelter Center and will be sterilized when she reaches the appropriate age. Like all the other animals under our care, she has been issued an owner's book.

The animals in our care are looking for a home in Croatia, but also internationally. It's important to us that they find a safe and warm home regardless of geographical location. ❤️
