Favi

Favi arrived at the shelter in January 2026 from Gornje Sitno. His owner rescued him, but unfortunately she couldn't provide him with better conditions than living in a box, where he spent three years. That's why we wanted to give him the opportunity for a better and more fulfilling life, and we are happy that he is now safe.

Favi is an Istrian Hound, a dog with the distinct characteristics of his breed. So far, he has not had the opportunity to get used to daily walks and living with his family in the full sense of the word, but he shows that with the right approach, patience and consistency, he can make significant progress. He is a good dog, but also vocal, which is typical of hounds. He needs people who understand the breed, its instincts and needs, and are willing to work with him.

We are looking for more experienced and responsible foster parents for Favi who will provide him with structure, security, and love, as well as understanding during the adjustment process. Dogs like him often stay in shelters longer because they require more specific conditions and owners who are familiar with working and hunting breeds, but we believe that there is someone for him who will recognize his potential.

Favi is located at the NO KILL shelter Animalis Centrum. He has been fully vet checked, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has a passport/ownership booklet.

The animals under our care are adopted in Croatia and internationally - the most important thing for us is that they find a safe, warm and stable home.❤️

If you are interested in adopting Favi, please fill out the questionnaire in detail at the link below. Our representatives will contact you to discuss all the details and adoption procedures.
