Enzo arrived at our shelter from Sixpence in October of 2024, without a chip, without an escort, with nothing but his silent gaze and a body that spoke louder than words.

It is thought that it was formerly used as a hunting dog and was discarded when it was no longer fit for purpose. His past has left a mark, but Enzo is a dog who wants to reconnect with people, he's sweet, he's calm and he's looking for a warmth that he's never fully known.

It is a hybrid of the Istrian type born on November 1, 2022. At the shelter, he's recovered, gained weight, but we believe that in his new home, with walking and attention, he'll regain his form. He loves to walk and behaves very nicely on a leash.

He gets along well with people, including those he's just met, while with other dogs he can be nervous at times, which is why we recommend that he be the only dog in the household, or in a home with more experienced handlers. We have to mention that Enzo likes to respond, and how else but with barking.

He would be best served by a home with a more leisurely pace, with a person or family who does not lead a particularly active lifestyle but is willing to provide security, order, and tenderness. Enzo is a dog whose love has not yet become a habit, but who is ready to love to the end.

Enzo has been at the NO KILL Animal Shelter Center receiving all the usual veterinary treatments and vaccines, microchipped and castrated. As with all other animals under our care, an owner's book/passport has been issued.
